Maningrida Arts & Culture
Maningrida Arts & Culture is one of Australia's largest Aboriginal Artist's cooperatives. This organisation is located in north-central Arnhem Land within the Northern Territory. It encompasses many different indigenous groups within that area and eight different languages, generating a richness in cultural diversity that expresses itself through vibrant creative works. The Maningrida trading post was first established in 1947, but the community owned cooperative did not come into full being until the early 1970s.
